GKN Aerospace is expanding its aero-engine manufacturing facility in Trollhättan, Sweden by 5,000m2 to support the aerospace industry ramp-up.
The state-of-the-art expansion will include cutting-edge, digitized fabrication processes and increased production capacity to meet the growing demand for advanced aero-engines.
This will enable GKN Aerospace to drive up productivity, improve quality and reduce industry lead times of its world-leading engine systems and major structural components.
The backlog of aero-engines stands at upto nine years and this expansion will enable GKN Aerospace to support increasing demands for leading engines such as the GEnX, GTF and Trent XWB.
