ANNIVERSARY

Specialinsert celebrates half a century of success

The Italian company has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to Research & Development, as evidenced by its numerous trademarks and patents

Specialinsert – leading industrial organization specialized in the development, production and sales of fastening systems – proudly marks 50 years of innovation. Established in 1974 as a trading company based on the visionary idea of converting the dimensional specifications of the Deform-nut® tubular threaded rivet from inches to millimeters, Specialinsert® has since evolved into a leading manufacturer. By adapting to market demands, the Company has distinguished itself as a technological partner across the entire fastener industry.

Throughout its history, Specialinsert has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to Research & Development, as evidenced by its numerous trademarks and patents. This dedication has been recognized with various honors, most notably the prestigious Stella al Merito del Lavoro (Star of Merit for Labor), awarded by Presidential decree to the founder of the Company, Piero Arduini. This accolade acknowledged his expertise, industriousness and moral integrity: values that continue to inspire the second generation of leadership, which carries the company forward with the same ethical vision and innovative spirit.

Teamwork, professionalism and a focus on employee well-being are central to Specialinsert’s identity. To celebrate this milestone, the company organized a retreat for employees and their families at the Falkensteiner Family Resort Lido in the Puster Valley of South Tyrol. This event served as a unique opportunity to strengthen the sense of belonging among its workforce, honoring the individuals who have shaped the company’s excellence over the years.

During their stay, employees noticed a striking example of their work’s impact: the backlit room number panels at the hotel were fastened using the company’s Fast-Con® insert, a patented snap fastening system with mechanical tension adjustment. A perfect example of versatile application, the innovative stainless-steel solution was chosen for its ability to securely and swiftly connect panels and coverings, ensuring safety, aesthetics and, when needed, convenient rear inspections.

"We are committed to advancing our existing solutions while developing new technologies," states Cinzia Arduini, CEO of Specialinsert, who continues "Our R&D department is currently refining the Fast-Con® system to make installation even more straightforward. Additionally, we are exploring the use of advanced materials such as titanium, which opens doors to niche markets with significant economic and strategic potential" and concludes "We are also working on pre-applying a polymer to our inserts to eliminate the need for adhesives, ensuring superior performance, along with an alternative to floating anchor-nuts in response to challenges around their availability and sustainability".

Established in 1974, Specialinsert is a leading Italian industrial organization specialized in the development, production and sales of fastening systems. With a total area of 8,500 m2, distributed between the registered office in Turin and two units located in Maerne di Martellago (VE) and Milan, the company operates with a staff of 70 employees, boasting a turnover of 14.5 million euros in 2023 and exports to over 85 countries.
