The demand for intensive care beds is increasingly high globally, and the SOS - Smart Operating Shelter Project project becomes more and more current due to the COVID19 emergency.
The ability to set up temporary healthcare facilities that can provide an effective response in terms of isolation and treatment of infected patients is of fundamental importance.
As part of the SOS project, architectural layouts were designed and engineering solutions investigated to quickly set up mobile healthcare structures that are easy to assemble and install, with smart and low environmental impact sandwich panels.
The know-how acquired in these months will be made available to the regional health system.
The partnership, whose proposal was funded under the #INNONETWORK call of the Puglia Region, sees CETMA and the lead company R.I. S.p.A. flanked by some Apulian excellences including Politecnico di Bari, ENEA - National Agency, ENA Consulting Srl, Kinema, Mespo and Protom Group SpA.
