The joint venture for polymer composites supporting the green energy transition

Officine Maccaferri, platform company of Ambienta SGR S.p.A and a global leader in environmental engineering solutions, announced the establishment of Prime Synthetic Solutions Ltd (“Prime Synthetic Solutions”), a joint venture with PSS Global, which is set to accelerate the offshore and onshore energy market with innovative and sustainable polymer composite solutions.

Prime Synthetic Solutions will draw on the know-how, engineering skills and related technologies of the two companies to deliver solutions that meet the increasing global demand for renewable energy. The new company will target the development of customized products that exceed industry standards in terms of performance and durability, replacing traditional metallic based solutions. Prime Synthetic Solutions’ key product offerings are the ParaFil™, Parafil™ terminations and ParaLoop™.

This deal is aligned with the goals outlined in Officine Maccaferri’s strategic plan, which includes both organic growth - through improved operations and market expansion - and inorganic growth through strategic acquisitions and partnerships aimed at enhancing the Group's ability to offer a wider range of sustainability-focused solutions for the infrastructure sector.

This deal not only aligns with the strategy of Ambienta, the majority shareholder of Officine Maccaferri, of supporting the Group in its growth path as a provider of innovative and sustainable solutions, but it also supports the goals of the company's strategic plan. Said plan envisaged both organic growth - through improved operations and market expansion - and inorganic growth through strategic acquisitions and partnerships aimed at enhancing the Group's ability to offer a wider range of sustainability-focused solutions for the infrastructure sector.
